THE THREE LITTLE WIGS

Once Upon a time there lived a little old man.
He lived by himself in a little house.
Time hadn't been kind to him and he only had a few strands of whispy hair left on his head.

He was very vain of his appearance and had invested in three little wigs.

The first wig was grey and wispy and held on with double sided tape.
The second was a brown curly wig held on with tight elastic
The third, and his favourite wig was an Elvis Presley wig with stick-on velcro side-burns.

One day the man decided to go out for a walk into town.
This day he wore his grey wispy wig and set off out of the house.

He hadn't got far when the wind said
"I'll Huff and I'll Puff and I'll blow your wig off!"

and it did.
It huffed and it puffed and blew the wig right off his head.
Everybody laughed as the vain man chased his grey and wispy wig down the street.

But he didn't catch it and lay sobbing in a puddle as he watched it roll down a drain.

The man was furious and ran back to his house.
He still needed to go into town so he cleaned himself up and put on his
brown curly wig with the tight elastic.
It was so tight that it left a red ring around his head
and made his face look like he had had some bad plastic surgery.
Anyway, he put it on and set off out of the house yet again.

He hadn't gone far when the wind said
"I'll Huff and I'll Puff and I'll blow your wig off!"

and it did.
It huffed and it puffed and blew the wig right off his head .'POP'
Everybody laughed as the vain man chased his brown and curly wig down the street.
But he didn't catch it and lay sobbing in a ditch as he saw it fly away and land in a tall tree.
where some crows immediately used it as a nest.

The man was seething with rage and ran back to his house.
"I'll show that wind that he won't beat me", he said
and he put on his favourite Elvis Presley wig with super strong stick-on velco side burns.

"It'll take a hurricane to blow this wig off" he said proudly.
and he left the house for a third time.

But it was sunny.
